Luis Medearis, also known as Cuban Lu, is a Sacramento-based snowboard filmer and cinematographer whose work is rooted in culture, community, and a deep connection to the mountains. A former college basketball player, he began snowboarding and filming in 2020 and quickly established himself behind the lens, creating work for the U.S. Snowboard Team and brands including Red Bull, Burton, Oakley, Ikon Pass, Columbia, Woodward, JBL, Anon, and Db. He is also part of Technically Doing It and has been involved in efforts that push for greater diversity, representation, and belonging within snowboarding, bringing an authentic, people-first perspective to everything he creates.
