Platform
This is the Platform Privacy Policy (“Platform Privacy Policy”) of Props Media Platform, LLC (“Props”, “we” or “us”). Props operates the Props Platform, a performance-based creator marketing platform (“Platform”) that pairs expert creator content with paid media distribution through creator social handles to deliver measurable business outcomes for brand clients. The Platform serves two types of users, whose data relationships with Props differ; content creators, or talent agencies or management companies acting on their behalf (“Creators”) and brand, advertiser, or marketing team representatives, or agencies acting on their behalf (“Clients”).
The Platform uses software automation and artificial intelligence to match creators with campaigns, manage paid media, assess brand-safety risk, and support campaign analysis and reporting. It is offered exclusively to business users, specifically content creators engaged as independent contractors and brand or advertiser representatives, and is not intended for personal, family, or household use.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PLATFORM PRIVACY POLICY
Props’s products, services and websites can be accessed by users across various locations including in jurisdictions which have specific privacy requirements.
Your privacy is important to us. This Platform Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, protect, share, and transfer your information that we collect when you use the Platform, other offerings or otherwise interact with us (“Services”). This Platform Privacy Policy also includes jurisdiction-specific disclosures for individuals in California (CCPA/CPRA) and Canada (PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25) See the Regional Privacy Disclosures section for details. It does not modify the terms of your Creator Agreement, Terms & Conditions, Subscription Agreement, or any other agreement with Props (“Agreement”).
By accessing the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Platform Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the Services. We will notify you of material changes by posting an updated version at https://www.props.co/privacy and, where appropriate, by email. We encourage you to review this Platform Privacy Policy periodically. Where applicable law requires consent as the lawful basis for a particular processing activity, Props will obtain that consent as required. Otherwise, your continued use of the Services after the effective date of an update is subject to the updated Platform Privacy Policy.
“Personal data” and “personal information” are used interchangeably throughout this Platform Privacy Policy and refer to any information that identifies or is reasonably capable of identifying an individual, either alone or in combination with other information. Where applicable law provides a specific definition (including under the CCPA/CPRA or PIPEDA), that definition applies to processing subject to that law.
Personal data can include information such as: your name, email address, username, and social media handle; information about your device (e.g., IP address); and information relating to how you use and interact with our Services.
How to read this Platform Privacy Policy
Most of this Platform Privacy Policy applies to both Creators and Clients. Where a section or provision applies to only one, it is marked as applying to Creators or Clients. Sections without a marker apply to both Creators and Clients. Provisions relating to Client end-user data, personal data of a Client’s own customers that flows through the Platform, are addressed separately, as Props acts as a Data Processor for that data.
We process personal information in two legally distinct roles:
As a Data Controller: when we collect and process personal information from Creator and Client users in connection with their access to and use of the Platform. In this role, Props determines the purposes and means of processing and is accountable to you for that processing.
As a Data Processor: when Clients use the Platform to manage campaigns that involve personal data of their own end-users (for example, conversion and measurement data collected via Props-placed tracking technologies on Client digital properties) (“Client Channels”). In this role the subscribing Client is the data controller and Props processes that data solely on the Client’s instructions, pursuant to the applicable Agreement.
This Platform Privacy Policy primarily applies to Props’s activities as a Data Controller. In the event of a conflict between this Platform Privacy Policy and any Agreement that Agreement will control.
Props’s products and services are designed exclusively for business use and are not intended for personal, family, or household purposes.
If you have any questions about this Platform Privacy Policy or the way in which we use your personal data, please contact us at propsplatform@props.us.
We collect information that you provide, information you provide via the Services, information from your devices (e.g., computers, smartphones, and tablets), and information we receive from connected platforms and partners. We also use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about you and how you engage with the Services.
Information Creators provide directly (Creators)
When Creators onboard to the Platform and throughout their engagement, we collect:
Information collected about Creators prior to engagement (Creators)
As part of evaluating creators for engagement, and before an Agreement is signed, Props conducts a one-time review limited to publicly accessible content on the social media accounts a creator uses professionally, solely to assess brand-safety suitability. We do not access private or non-public content for this review. We inform each creator of this review at onboarding, and a creator may request information about it, contest its results, and ask that we not retain them, subject to our legitimate business and legal-retention needs.
Information collected about Creators automatically (Creators)
Information Clients provide directly (Clients)
When your organization subscribes to the Platform and you access it as an authorized user, we collect:
Information collected about Clients automatically (Clients)
Non-identifiable operational data
Props may generate and retain aggregated or de-identified data derived from Platform activity. Where data is de-identified or anonymized, Props implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent re-identification and does not attempt to re-identify such data. Props does not treat properly anonymized or de-identified data as personal information. Where applicable law imposes specific requirements on de-identified data (including under CCPA/CPRA), Props will comply with those requirements.
Props processes personal information on one or more of the following lawful bases: performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, and consent. In our capacity as a data controller, Props uses personal information for the following purposes.
Uses applicable to Creators
Uses applicable to Clients
Uses applicable to both Creators and Clients
Props does not use personal information from Platform users for advertising or marketing to third parties, and does not sell or share Platform user data.
Prop’s legal grounds for using your personal data
Props will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. The legal grounds we rely on are:
We share your information with our service providers, contractors, agents, and third-party vendors as needed to operate the Platform and deliver the Services. Props does not sell personal information.
We may share personal information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers and sub-processors
Props engages third-party vendors that act as sub-processors or service providers. These vendors are authorized to access personal information only as necessary to perform services on Props’s behalf, subject to confidentiality and security obligations. Categories include cloud infrastructure and hosting, data warehousing and analytics, artificial intelligence providers, workflow automation, communications and collaboration tools, infrastructure monitoring, and payment processing. Props maintains an up-to-date list of sub-processors engaged to process personal information on its behalf, including the entity, jurisdiction, and processing purpose for each, available at props.co/privacy#sub-processors. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes to that list.
Creators and Clients
Where you are a Creator, Clients you work with on campaigns may receive your name, bio, profile photo, social media handles, content niche, and audience metrics in connection with campaign matching, and content you produce. Where you are engaged on a Client's campaign, that Client may also receive brand-safety information about you generated through our monitoring, including risk classifications and summaries of flagged content, so the Client can make campaign decisions. Clients do not receive your payment information or tax data.
Advertising platforms
Data is exchanged with advertising and social platforms (such as Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads) to manage paid media campaigns on connected accounts and to measure performance, as authorized by you.
Legal obligations and protection of rights
Props may disclose personal information to government or law enforcement authorities where required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Props, users, or others.
Business transfers
In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred to a successor or affiliate. Where a transaction results in a change of the entity that controls your personal data, we will, to the extent required by applicable law, notify affected individuals and provide information about any material change in how their personal data is processed.
The Platform is a logged-in business application. We do not use Cookies for behavioral or cross-context advertising against Platform users, and we do not operate a cookie consent banner within the Platform because the Platform does not use advertising or targeting cookies.
The Platform uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary or functional, including session authentication and security, workspace and user preferences, OAuth state for connected social or advertising accounts (removed when access is disconnected, as described in the Connected Accounts and Access Revocation section below), and session state for AI features. We also use analytics tools to understand and improve how the Platform is used, and email tracking pixels in Platform communications to measure open and click rates (which you can limit by disabling remote image loading in your email client).
Cookie consent, Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, interest-based advertising, and the "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanism apply to our marketing website and are addressed in the separate Props Website Privacy Policy, not here.
Session recording
Props uses a behavioral analytics tool (Hotjar) on the Platform that may record user sessions, including navigation and interaction with Platform pages, where your browser does not block analytics tools. Potentially sensitive or personally identifying information is masked at the browser level before it reaches the analytics provider, so that recorded sessions display masked characters in place of such information. Session recordings are used to understand and improve how users interact with the Platform.
Our Services may link to third-party websites and services. Props is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
Both Creators and Clients connect third-party social or advertising accounts to the Platform through OAuth authorization, which Props uses to manage paid media and, for Creators, to conduct brand-safety monitoring.
User-initiated disconnection. You may revoke Props’s access at any time, either through your account settings on the connected social or advertising platform or by disconnecting within the Platform. When you revoke access directly through the connected platform, the associated OAuth token is revoked immediately.
Disconnection at the end of an engagement. When a Creator or Client engagement ends, revocation of any remaining OAuth access is handled manually, either by you through the connected platform or by Props. We encourage you to disconnect any connected accounts directly through the relevant platform when your engagement ends.
Props retains personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Platform Privacy Policy, to maintain the user relationship, to satisfy legal obligations, and to resolve disputes, and for a commercially reasonable time thereafter for backup, archival, fraud prevention or detection or audit purposes or as permitted by applicable law. We will never retain your information for a period longer than permitted by law.
We determine the appropriate retention period for personal information based on the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information being processed; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; whether we can achieve the purposes of the processing through other means; and applicable legal requirements. After expiration of the applicable retention periods, your personal information will be deleted or anonymized.
The principal retention periods are:
Individuals whose personal information Props processes as a data controller may have rights under applicable law.
Your rights include:
You can request to exercise these rights, and any other rights you may have, by contacting us as set forth in the Contact Us section below. You may request to exercise these rights yourself or via an authorized agent who meets the agency requirements of applicable law. Props will respond to verifiable rights requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. For reference: CCPA/CPRA requests within 45 days (extendable to 90 days with notice); and PIPEDA requests within 30 days (extendable with notice). Identity verification may be required before processing certain requests. We will not fulfil any request unless you have provided sufficient information for us to reasonably verify your identity and sufficient details necessary to help us handle the request.
Rights regarding Client end-user data
Where Props processes personal information as a data processor on behalf of a Client (for example, end-user data submitted to or collected through the Platform on the Client’s behalf), requests from individuals regarding that data (access, deletion, correction) should be directed to the Client. The Client is the data controller for that data. Props will assist Clients in fulfilling verified requests as required by the applicable Agreement.
Marketing communications
Where Props sends marketing or promotional communications, recipients may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communication or by contacting propsplatform@props.us. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional or service communications.
Personal information collected by Props may be stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where Props or its sub-processors operate. Props implements technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls based on role and least privilege, secure credential and token management, audit logging of system actions and access events, and monitoring for anomalous activity.
Any specific technical measures described herein reflect current practice and may be updated as technology evolves. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and Props does not guarantee the absolute security of any information. Props complies with applicable data protection laws, including applicable security breach notification requirements. If you believe an account has been compromised or you suspect unauthorized access, contact propsplatform@props.us.
Props is a U.S.-based company. Personal information we collect and process is stored and handled primarily in the United States. Props currently serves Creator and Client users in the United States and Canada. Because users in Canada provide personal information to Props, that information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and in other countries where Props or its sub-processors operate. Props maintains appropriate safeguards for all such transfers as described below.
Basis for transfers from each jurisdiction
United States: Personal information from U.S.-based individuals is processed domestically. No cross-border transfer mechanism is required.
Canada: Personal information from Canadian individuals is transferred to the United States. Props relies on contractual protections and legitimate business interests as the transfer basis, consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation. Sub-processors that access Canadian personal data are subject to contractual data protection obligations.
United States
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). The following disclosures apply to California residents whose personal information Props processes as a data controller.
Categories of personal information collected: Props collects the following categories from California residents: identifiers (name, email address, IP address, account identifiers); commercial information (billing and transaction records); internet or network activity information (usage and device data, cookie data); professional or employment-related information (job title, company affiliation); and, for Creators, government identifiers (taxpayer identification number) processed for tax compliance.
Purposes of collection: The purposes for which each category is collected are described in the How We Use Your Information section of this Platform Privacy Policy.
Categories of third parties with whom personal information is shared: Props shares personal information with the service providers and sub-processors identified in the Who Do We Share Your Information With section of this Platform Privacy Policy and in the sub-processor list maintained at the URL referenced there.
Sale or sharing of personal information: Props does not sell personal information and does not share Platform user personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive personal information: The only sensitive personal information Props collects from California residents is the taxpayer identification number of Creators, which Props collects and uses solely to meet tax-reporting and related legal obligations. Props does not use or disclose this information to infer characteristics about an individual and does not use or disclose it for any purpose other than those for which the CCPA's right to limit does not apply. Props does not sell or share sensitive personal information.
Rights of California residents: In addition to the rights described in the Your Rights section of this Platform Privacy Policy, California residents have the right to:
To submit a CCPA/CPRA request, contact propsplatform@props.us. Props will respond within 45 days, extendable to 90 days with notice.
Canada
Canadian residents have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation, including Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). Props collects and uses Canadian personal information for the purposes described in this Platform Privacy Policy.
In addition to the general rights described in the Your Rights section of this Platform Privacy Policy, Quebec residents have the following rights under Law 25:
Props has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for compliance with applicable Canadian privacy law, who may be contacted at propsplatform@props.us. Individuals may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting propsplatform@props.us. If you are not satisfied with Props’s response to a privacy request or concern, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca. Quebec residents may also file complaints with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
Additional Privacy Information
Props’s Platform is directed exclusively at businesses and professionals. The Services are not for use by anyone under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect or process the personal information of anyone under eighteen. If you believe Props has collected information from a minor, please contact ) propsplatform@props.us.
Artificial intelligence is a feature of the Props Platform. The Platform uses AI and machine learning for brand-safety monitoring, creator-campaign matching, and campaign analysis and reporting. These features are powered in part by Anthropic, PBC, OpenAI, and Google (each, an “AI Provider”). Personal information processed within the Platform may be transmitted to one or more AI Providers as part of delivering AI-powered features. Each AI Provider processes such data subject to its own data processing terms.
Brand-safety monitoring (Creators)
Props operates an automated brand-safety system that reviews content on the social media accounts you connect to the Platform, classifying content and assessing risk against a defined set of brand-safety categories, including violence, hate speech, sexual content, off-brand political content, alcohol, profanity, competitor collaboration, and custom categories specified by Clients on whose campaigns you are engaged.
The system operates in two modes:
Where the system identifies an inappropriate comment on a paid promotional post that Props publishes and manages on your behalf, Props may remove that comment. Props may also identify posts that do not meet applicable brand-safety standards and ask you to remove them; the decision to remove your own posts remains with you. The Agreement governs the consequences of brand-safety findings.
Campaign matching (Creators)
Props generates internal profile assessments to support campaign matching. You may request a copy of your assessments, contest any assessment you believe is inaccurate, and request human review.
Campaign analysis tools (Clients)
Props provides AI-powered tools for campaign analysis, performance insights, creative support, and reporting. AI outputs are saved to your workspace, are not shared with other Client organizations, and are subject to your right to request human review.
Use of your data for AI training
Props does not use your personal data to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial-intelligence model beyond what is necessary to deliver the Services to you. Props's role in AI processing depends on the data involved. Where AI features process the personal information of Creator and Client users (for example, brand-safety scoring or campaign-matching assessments), Props acts as a data controller on the lawful bases described in this Platform Privacy Policy. Where AI features process Client end-user data on a Client's behalf, Props acts as a data processor and processes that data solely on the Client's instructions under the applicable Agreement. Props does not provide your personal data to third parties for the training of their models. The AI Providers that power the Platform's AI features are contractually prohibited from using data processed on Props's behalf to train their own models
Automated decisions
To the extent the Platform makes or facilitates automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, Props will inform affected individuals of: (a) the existence of such automated decision-making; (b) the logic involved; and (c) the significance and envisaged consequences for the individual. Individuals have the right to request human review of any such decision, to express their point of view, and to contest the decision. If you have questions about whether and how automated processing affects you, contactpropsplatform@props.us.
Props may update this Platform Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify users by email and/or by posting a prominently visible notice on the Platform. The updated Platform Privacy Policy takes effect as of the date shown at the top of this document. Previous versions are available upon request.

Props distributes creator content through paid media on third-party advertising platforms. When Props shares data with these platforms to plan, deliver, and measure campaigns, those platforms generally act as independent controllers under their own terms, rather than as sub-processors acting solely on Props' instructions.
We will post any change to this authorized sub-processor list on this page at least 30 days before a new sub-processor begins processing Platform user personal information on our behalf. In addition to updating this page, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users of the change by email.
