After ten years of calling it home, I can safely say New York City is one of my favorite cities in the world. My to-do list there was never-ending—always more to accomplish than waking hours to fill. Most days it felt like living in a giant playground, but even on the gridlocked ones, the maze of people and transport and urgency, I loved it a little bit more each day. Nothing makes that clearer than a snowstorm.
