Dr. Axton Betz-Hamilton is an author, an assistant professor, and the Undergraduate Program Coordinator of Consumer Affairs at South Dakota State University. She researches familial and child identity theft. Axton is the author of The Less People Know About Us: A Mystery of Betrayal, Family Secrets, and Stolen Identity, which is the story of her own familial identity theft victimization and its impact. Her story has been featured in the New York Times, the New York Post, Psychology Today, Elle, and ABC News, and she has shared her experience and her book on both The Dr. Oz Show and The Mel Robbins Show.
