Electric bike company Rad Power Bikes was on a mission to find the most bored person in America. But, why?
Their goal was to obtain giveaway submissions in the form of video entries that showcased contestants being…super…bored. When they weren’t getting the hoped-for entries, they reached out to Props.
Two of Props' best creators, Dana Harvey and Jimmie Lin, took the Rad Power Bikes giveaway brief and brought to life the most boring visions in the most exciting way possible to entice viewers to submit their entries.
Jimmie channeled Wes Anderson in his film, hopping on the trend at the time in reference to his popular film, “The French Dispatch.” Meanwhile, Dana utilized her family to come from a family perspective, showcasing what she coined "The Bored Family Olympics & The Bored Family Talent Show.” These approaches were far from what any previous creator developed for Rad Bikes, and between these two, Props helped TechInt take a brake.
Time and again, Props creators take a brief and elevate it—even for concepts as boring as this.
